Abstract
WE WILL USE ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS TO DEVELOP AN ACOUSTIC-BASED SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING STUTTERING IN CONTINUOUS SPEECH. THE SYSTEM WILL USE THESE NETWORKS, ALREADY DEVELOPED FOR PURPOSES OF SPEECH RECOGNITION, TO IDENTIFY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PERCEPTUALLY INDISTINGUISHABLE AUTHENTIC AND SIMULATED STUTTERINGS.
