Under the CRPP effort, Robotic Research (RR) focuses on two objectives. First, RR will conduct Crowdsourcing Competitions to Universities and the
Public to populate the Library with additional verified designs. The idea is to attract the professional student, average hobbyist, and part-time tinkerer.
Since 3D printers are becoming cheaper and more readily available, building your own customized 3D printable robots is becoming a reality. Robotic
Research's goal for the future is to have 3D printers installed at various Hobby and Electronic stores which will also stock non-printable electrical
components. Commercial users would log onto the SAARP Store from home, select a design, develop a custom design, print it at a local store, and
retrieve the model and non-printable parts. Some users even have a 3D printer at home. In this case the non-printable parts can by shipped directly to
them. Crowdsourcing will grow the SAARP Library greatly increasing its worth. The second part of the SAARP CRPP effort is to continue providing
designs for the First Responders. Robotic Research will continue to provide inexpensive, easy to use, highly customizable robots to the First Responders
at JIFXs events. At these events, many First Responder group Leads evaluate technologies to procure and provide to the men and women who need
these devices. SAARP robots are inexpensive and perform the functions of robots costing $30,000 to $70,000 more than your average SAARP robot
which comes in at about $900
