Abstract
ALPHATECH will develop a prototype performance evaluation test bed software system capable of evaluating alternate concepts for distributed multiplatform sensor control. The performance evaluation test bed will be developed using object oriented softwaredesign techniques. The prototype test bed environment will include scenario generation, performance analysis and visualization capabilities. The prototype test bed environment will utilize an event-driven simulation engine together with generic platformand sensor models to compute critical performance metrics for a concept test article. The test bed will be used to explore advantages of modern methods of efficient Monte Carlo analysis and simulation-based optimization for efficient performance analysisof distributed sensor control system concepts.
