Abstract
THE UNDERLYING LEARNING CURVE (ULC) ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE CAN OFFER SUBSTANTIAL BENEFIT TO PERSONNEL INVOLVED WITH EVALUATIN OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS. USE OF THE TECHNIQUE IS IMPEDED BY THE AMOUNT OF COMPUTATION REQUIRED AND BY THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONCEPT BY USERS. THE PROJECT WILL DEVELOP A USER FRIENDLY SOFTWARE SYSTEM TO ACCOMPLISHING THESE EVALUATIONS AT CONTRACT ADMINISTATION ORGANIZATIONS (CAO). THE SYSTEM WILL BE MENU DRIVEN AND LEAD THE USER THROUGH THE NECESSARY INPUT DATA GENERATION AND COMPUTATION. THE SYSTEM WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN A FASHION THAT IT IS TRANSPORTABLE TO THE TYPES OF EQUIPMENT WHICH IS AVAILABLE IN THE DOD CAOS.
