Abstract
COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS (CFD) METHODS GENERATE VAST AMOUNTS OF NUMERICAL DATA THAT MUST BE DISPLAYED GRAPHICALLYFOR USE. CURRENT GRAPHICAL COMPUTER SOFTWARE PROGRAMS CAN DISPLAY DATA ONLY ON LINES OR ON SURFACES DEFINED IN THE COMPUTATIONAL GRID. CFD SOFTWARE USERS DESIRE TO DISPLAY CFD DATA ON ARBITRARY SURFACES THAT MAY NOT CONFORM WITH THE COMPUTATIONAL GRID. A SOFTWARE PROGRAM WILL BE DEVELOPED THAT ALLOWS USERS TO DISPLAY CFD DATA ON ARBITRARY, USER-DEFINED SURFACES. THIS PROGRAM WILL BE BASED UPON THE COMPANY'S EXISTING INTERACTIVE PLOTTING SOFTWARE CALLED TECPLOT. IT WILL WORK WITH DATA DEFINED IN MULTIBLOCK, FINITE-DIFFERENCE OR FINITE-ELEMENT COMPUTATIONAL GRIDS.
