Abstract
ANP Technologies proposes to develop a sample concentration system that uses commercial hollow fiber filtration technology with permanent anti-fouling coatings to concentrate biological contaminants in water sources or supplies to a level high enough to be readily detected. The filter technology will allow simple and quick release of the contaminants into a much smaller volume without the use of recovery buffers, and be reusable. The concentrator can be used to monitor water supplies for a wide variety of Biological Warfare (BW) agents and non-BW water borne pathogens.
