AbstractSAR Analyst production efficiency and proficiency can be increased through the application of attention focusing filters which draw attention to targets and changes. The attention focusing filters will be created using a cognitive systems engineering approach to the current issues that analysts face when operating within the given problem set of wide area, persistent surveillance in irregular warfare environments. The cognitive systems engineering approach will define the user interaction with the system while innovative application of amplitude and phase processing will create the SAR products BENEFIT: This proposal will increase the speed of SAR interpretation by providing cues to site activity, operational status of targets/sites and visual aids to provide the analyst the capability to detect obscured targets. This software will be a enhancement to currently deployed DCGS tools such as SOCET/GXP, CASE Executive. This software will also act as a standalone tool which organizations such as NGA and MSIC have expressed interest.
