Abstract

This Phase II project will complete development of an Automated System to Clean Microplates and rigorously test the system across an array of common applications used with biological samples compounds and cellular assays Data collected from assays will be utilized to prepare standardized methodologies for plate cleaning with the system and to provide statistical performance benchmarks for users of the systems For key specialized applications such as sterility testing industry standard testing protocols will be formalized into the system operation and control software The system will integrate both at a hardware level and by standard networking protocols with all automated microplate processing systems from pick and place robotics to ultra sophisticated HTS platforms Real time detection of changes in system performance characteristics error conditions and failures will be reported on the controller and to nay networked system
