Abstract
A BROADBAND HIGH-FREQUENCY ANTENNA STRUCTURE FOR THE TACAMO AIRFRAME WAS STUDIED. THE STRUCTURES STUDIED WOULD NOT DEGRADE AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE AND WOULD ALLOW MULTIPLE TRANSMITTER OPERATION OVER THE FULL 2 TO 30 MHZ BAND. EVALUATION FACTORS WERE EFFICIENCY, BANDWIDTH, MINIMUM LOSSES, LOW RESISTANCE, AND MINIMUM CHANGES TO THE AIRCRAFT. INCLUDED IN THE STUDY WERE LONG WIRE, EMBEDDED, DIEELECTRIC LOADING AND ACTIVE TRANSMITTER TECHNIQUES.
