Abstract
"The program objective is to design and build an inexpensive lightweight, portable, and sensitive Tactical Antenna Switching and Positioning System for UHF (240 to 320 MHz) SATCOM. It is to be designed to be carried aboard ships, installed at sometimesunpredictable locations, and placed into continuous operation with unattended operation. It is for operation over 225 to 400 MHz 100 watt operation, shipped in two cartons, each weighing not more than 60 pounds, function in an ocean environment and highwinds (over 50 knots) and sea spray and fully DAMA compliant. This system could be used in a broad range of military, commercial, and paramilitary applications where automatic RF switching and antenna tracking are necessary."
